Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal
At Drive Revive Exterior Cleaning we use two different methods to clean your roofs. Initially we will pop out to your address and carry out a free roof inspection, we look at the current condition of the roof, which tiles you have on your roof, access for our tower and we also run through which option you would like us to use to clean your roof.
We can use the option of a low-pressure clean or the option of using specifically shaped blades and wire brushes to scrape and brush the moss from your roof.
The low-pressure clean option see's us use our machine and telescopic carbon fibre poles to clean the dirt, moss and lichen from your roof. This is all done from our high access scaffold tower, we also have adjustable angled adaptors on the ends of our poles to ensure we always have the water spraying in a downward motion/angle so no water can ever go underneath the tiles. This method is a completely safe, gentle but yet highly effective way of cleaning roofs without causing any damage to your roof, roof tiles or any other roof materials.
The roof scraping option see's us use a completely water-free method of cleaning your roof. We do this using telescopic carbon fibre poles again but this time we have a specifically shaped blade attached to the end which perfectly fits the profile of your roof tile, we then scrape the blade back and forth until we remove the moss from each tile, once all tiles are free of moss we then go back over roof again using a wire brush attachment to fine tune any last remaining bits. Again this method is a highly effective way of cleaning a roof while being completely safe, gentle and damage free.
Once your roof has been cleaned using either of the options above we then apply a licensed biocide treatment to the roof. The treatment continues to work long after we leave, it continues to keep the roof clean and prevents the re-growth of moss, algae and other organic matter for several years after. This is an eco-friendly way to not only keep your roof looking like new but also extend its lifespan.
With any roof clean booked in we also include a completely free gutter clearance of the enitre property afterwards. This ensures that any debris that may fall into the gutters during the cleaning process are cleared to allow water to flow freely away from your property.
